A family house, two continents

Vivian runs the house in the United States. Patrick Salaun trained at the École Boulle in Paris and sources the collection in Europe; the wooden pieces pass through his own bench before they reach you. They opened their first store together in Los Angeles in 1989.

The house

The condition standard

Every piece is described the same way, whether it is untouched or honestly worn

Original

What survives untouched

Marble tops, mounts, veneers, upholstery frames, patina — named individually, not implied.

Restored

What was worked on, and by whom

Refinishing, re-gluing, replaced hardware, new upholstery: any work a piece has had is written down, along with who carried it out.

Condition and provenance

Age-consistent wear, disclosed

Losses, repairs and replacements listed plainly, with dimensions in centimetres and inches.
